browsing around on ebay today and spotted this, any thoughts on this setup -- price, noise, light dispersion?? It would be perfect for my tank and would like to know if this is something that may last for awhile!

they do have their products on there, as well as you can call them on the 800# and receive the same price for the one they had posted on EBAY.

damn that is a straight deal if the **** is worth having.

It looks like a fairly decent deal, I was looking on their website and they had a dual 400w Metal Halide with 2x110 VHO's on either side of the retro kit for roughly $460, (I could be slightly off on that price) but it seems like a reasonable price,

I wrote the company in regards to the ballast and which bulbs it can run this is what they said:

"This is a probe start ballast. It will run Venture and Coralvue bulbs. IF
you want to run the German Ushio or a 20K bulb, you will need to upgrade to
a pulse start for an additional $15.00 per ballast. This ballast will not run all 10K bulbs, the upgrade to a pulse start ballast will run all 10K bulbs. The pulse start has an ignitor that some 10k bulbs require to light it up."

Any truth to that statement?
