You could try the fish shop if no luck. Not as good I understand as filter pad but mine gave me a bag of gravel from a running tank as seed material.

I am in Lafayette IN if that is close enough. I'd be happy to give you an old filter bag from a Tetra Whisper 20.
I run a 20 and a 30 and alternate filter cleaning/replacement so I never need to worry about re-cycling when i clean a filter.
PM me if you want the filter bag...you would probably need to pick it up as I don't get to Chicago very often. Or, if you want to send me a clean filter cartridge, I could just squish it into my filter for a week or so.
