Sounds like a bad idea… and I’m pretty sure the barbs ate the lone ghost shrimp I had, but the bamboo shrimp in there are doing good.
Was thinking about putting some cherry shrimp in the 75 with the barbs once I get a batch or 2 of them bred in the other tank. The comets in the 29g are going to the pond this weekend and the cherry shrimp are moving in.
I also got a few different carpet plants and some different moss that I’m throwing in the 75, ideally want a decent carpet and some moss on the driftwood before moving any more shrimp in there. Im thinking that would provide enough cover for the shrimp to hide from the barbs since it’s already decently planted with stem plants…? I don’t know. They both can move at light speed when they want to so…
I expect a percentage of them would become midnight snacks, which is just nature doing it’s thing, but I’m not going to try it if they’re going to be eradicated overnight!
