Certainly!
The apistos like a bit cooler water then cards but they should do well together around 78-80 IMO.

Great i was just unsure if the cardinals would be too small for the apisto. Would i be able to keep one apisto without a problem or are they recommended to be kept in a pair?

A pair will be more fun IMO, but they can be kept alone.

I was just concerned about them getting territorial while in a pair while breeding... unless of course i get 2 males or would that be a problem?
