Aptasia help

Are there any dangers of cutting an aptasia.

It will spread like crazy. Do not rupture it. Use aiptasia X and inject it.

Well it is on my zoas and I am about to frag them

If you can remove the zoas from the rock and pitch the rock that will work but do not cut, tear, pop the aiptasia or it will release spores into the water and then you will start to see them thruout the tank.

Well I am doing it in a different container and was mainly wondering if there were any toxins that would be bad for me.

Anytime I work with corals out of the tank, I have gloves & safety glasses on, especially with palys/zoas...... you are aware of palytoxin??

As far as the aptasia, I think I'd try to eliminate it prior to fragging..... Too much chance of it spreading.

Ya I just finished I just left the aptasia and I am going to kill it tomorrow when it opens.
