My tank has a lighting option where it cycles through a variety of colors. I love the way it looks but I don’t want to use it if it will stress my betta out. Are the color changing LEDs ok for him?

If the fish are stressed by it, i would expect there to be visible signs. I have programmable lights that have the same feature, i have put it on in the past, the fish dont seem bothered by it but i dont like it personally.

Is your tank planted? I would be more concerned by plants not getting a good colour spectrum or intensity of light. Even low demand plants need adequate lighting and i dont think the colour LEDs provide sufficient light.

Perhaps just have the colour rotating lights when you are home and enjoying looking at your aquarium?

That’s what I do! I usually leave it on white but I put it on the color changing mode if I want to set a fun room vibe lol. Thanks for your help!
