Not really. Just don't know what else could possibly be wrong. Have you tried seeding the tank?

Are you continuously dosing ammonia? If it stays at 3 ppm try not dosing any more until it gets down to 1.
There's another myth that BB die within a few days of not having food, but that's not true. I believe it was Threnjen that showed links to articles proving that BB can live for a month or more without food. It was a long time ago so maybe it was someone else.
