I get my ro water from my lfs, I fill 6 5 gallon water jugs per week. I then pour the jugs into a 30 gallon holding tank for buffering. Then suck them back into 5 gallon jugs just to pour them into my 55gallon planted tank.

I figure its all possible with pumps but how?

I wouldnt mine walking up and turning a few knobs and watching it happen. Not to mention the stress on the fish would reduce.

Has anyone made such a system? If so what did you use or where could I find good diy info.

Thanks

RO water is unnessescary in fw. and about your question,a small filter and some pvc would probably work. attach the pvc(a smaller size) to the filter output, put the filter in the jug,and put the end of the pvc in your tank.then turn on the filter

They make all sorts of water pumps to move water, but how far are we talking from the holding to the display tank since the farther the length the stronger the pump is needed.
