Baby betta from Petco

So we got baby betta about 7 months ago at Petco, in hopes of saving it.

7 months later, here it is.




Is it a female? & what kind of betta is it?

Also, anyone else have bettas they purchased as babies?
Would love to see other photos

Not sure on type - just looking to get back into betta's now. Looks like a male to me with the colour.

That looks like a veil tail male betta. Very pretty
