best lighting for salt water aquariums

Nothing it's just better lighting for your corals. But 360 should be enough, like i said just pick one and go with it.
 
Even though the wpg rule is a little outdated if you go by it you will be OK with both. The main thing you need to worry about is that intensity is what matters esp. if you are talking about high light corals. T5`s have plenty of intensity and will be good in a reef tank.
