Betta sorority advice

I have a Betta sorority with 5 "princesses". A lot of things I've read say they go bad after a while. Everything seems fine so far, but l was wondering if l can remove one of them temporarily to try and breed her with my male or would that disrupt the harmony in this tank? Please advise...

Thank you Sara. That's what concerns me. Do you think there would be less chance of that if it was one of the two dominant females?
