Bio-Spira use in Fresh Water?

I know this has probably been covered before but can you safely use Bio-Spira in a Fresh Water tank?

I will be building out a new 75 gallon shortly and want to reduce the cycle time. Product info states salt water only use.

I believe there are 2 versions. One for salt and one for fresh.

Works for some , other.....not so much.
