My mother has 3 of these fish and she wants to get rid of them. I want to take them but I can’t find much online about them. If anyone can answer a few questions about them for me I’d be truly great full. I have a 55 gallon tank with 7 Corydoras, would the barbs attack them? These barbs are about 5-6 inches long. Also I have live plants and my concern is that they might eat my plants, are they plant eaters ? Thank you for any help !

Another thing I read said the bigger the shoal the more calm they are. And I didn't specifically read this, but since they are omnivores they may nibble on plants or like most fish, eat any fish that fits in their mouths
