Hi all.
I have been researching this as well as i can but can't find much information. I bought a Bristlenose on friday and noticed that about half it's belly had what looked like a blister (raised skin that shows yellow over the white stomach). Haven't seen the little fellow today but before bed last nigh it looked like it was getting worse. He appears healthy and is munching on algae whenever i see it. only issue is that the skin seems to have a yellowish cushion.
Only idea i seem to be getting is that it can be a temperature shock thing that can cause the plec to form blisters which should not be true in this case. I gave it about a 2 hour drip acclimatisation for my tank. I noticed the blister when i got it home and had it in the tank. My tank temp is nudging 29degrees celsius of an afternoon lately so the temp may be too high for it?
Anyone have any ideas on this?
