Blue and Pearl Gourami???

I have a mean Pearl Gourami male. He is either going back to the fishstore or I have a friend who has two blue Gourami and two Bala sharks, is that going to be a bad match?

I don't have any experience matching Gourami. It seems I remember they don't mix, but that is why I am checking...

I think a pearl gourami with a pair of blue gouramis wouldn't work. Blue gouramis are more aggressive.
