I would say female, but I'm better with sw and it's been a long time since I've had bosemans

When I had a boesmani pair(sold to me as a pair), the female generally appeared more purple overall where as the male had the bright yellow coloration.

Just my experience with them.

In looking at at tank with several or more fish, the young males will definitely have more of a yellow or orange colored tail. Should be pretty obvious, unless you are looking at a tank with only a couple fish.
 
This tank had 9 fish currently so would that mean it's a male? I am kind of think that the fish was female though.
