Do Bolivian Rams school?
How many are good for a 55 gal tank?

No, they won't school but male/female will maybe pair and hang out together.
What other fish are in your tank?
I'd say maybe 3-4 in your tank.....depending on the male to female ratio.
If there are 4 males, there might be problems. A 2:2 male/feamle ratio not so much.

Stay with even numbers. They are comfortable in groups but at some point it becomes about space. If they do start pairing off they will attempt to claim space. If they get grumpy it isn't too bad, they just do it their way. Cool fish, love these guys

Other fish in my tank include Angels, platy, pleco, Cory cat, and glass catfish just to name a few
