Brazilian sword and severum Oops

I atempted to put a sword plant with my severums and heckelii's well they are tearing it apart and eating it. Do i leave it for them to eat or remove it and toss it?

Lol shoulda asked on here, I woulda warned you haha severums are plant mutilators, most off the hero-like fish are, like the severums and uaru and sucb
