well once you have a pair you need to put somrthing in the tank for them to lay eggs on like a piece of slate or a artificial amazon plant, has long big leaves,,i use sponge filters , they are fry friendly, keep bottom of tank empty, no sand or gravel , easier to keep tank clean , temp around 78, and ph at about 6.8. a tall tank will work better than a shorterlong tank, if you get to the point where you have a pair breeding , you need to think of food for the fry, i use tiny bites, a dry food, along with a culture of micro worms, there are other foods out there , but this is what i used,
