I wanna breed MTS since I am going to have a sand substrate. Is there any specific stuff I need to know? Also will they breed if the tank is cycling?

They will breed no mater what, and they will never stop. I grab two or three and toss them into new tanks all the time, they never seem to care.

Enjoy......

they will breed on their own, you shouldn't have a problem at all. Try looking for them at night (tank lights off) as that is when they are most visible.

LOL!!! make sure you feed them tho.. just drop a few flakes in there. The cycle may kill them though if ammonia gets to high.. just like any other living creature. As was said, when you turn the lights off.. they start climbing up the sides. I started with about 10 in my 55 gallon and now i have literally hundreds.

You should add Bio-Spira and your fish at the same time. If it works as advertised all your creatures fish and snails will be fine.
