They should be soft, but sometimes the outer layer of eggs gets dried and sort forms a bit of a cover over the others. Thats ok. They shouldn't be wet, but they need the humidity to stay moist.Should the eggs be hard or soft?? Wet or dry??

Honestly, I would avoid touching them at all. Your finger oil isn't very good for them.When you feel them should they feel a little moist or completely dry??

They need to kept warm and in humidity, so the tank lid is a good environment for them. But, you can move them is you want. I wouldn't put them on a towel because it could suck moisture away from the eggs.
