Scarlet badis in the qt tank in Pic 1.

Pic 2 is the scarlet badis in his own tank.

The lone badis that I thought was female still hasn't changed colors.

Pardon the leaf litter but this is Mr and Mrs bivittatum posing for me. Flaring actually. Killifish are funny. Once they get used to you they want all the attention and will flare for you to get it when you get within range. Lol

Yes! The are similar in their behavior at times. MR. Gardneri attacks the medicine dropper when I out microworms in his tank. Too funny!

You know I had higher hopes then most.....

I dred the thought of catching mine out of the 180.

Hopefully they will spawn again.[emoji14]opcorn:
I hope so too..first spawns often produce nothing though. I still have my hopes up. Yours will be harder because if they do have eggs other fish would get to them before you even see them.

Blue Panchax came out to say hi, so they got some worms.

It's official, I am a liar, I made a mistake, good thing I didn't dump the dip and pour.

Ladies and gents, I HAVE ORANGE LASER CORY FRY!!! I don't have many but there are a few swimming around. The water is so dark from tannins I can barely see them but they are there!

These pretties got moved to cooler waters today. So did the 2 rainbows I got a few weeks ago. Boxes are great for naps while the human does water changes and doesn't pay attention to you.

I have a question about housing my apistos. I have 7 iniridae just to remind everyone. I'm getting a 75g in the next few days and a 40b within the month. Both tanks need to house plecos as their primary function. So, which tank would be better to put the apistos in? Or should they be alone? The pleco choices are 3x L333 or 3x L201 or 6x ancistrus Green Dragons which are still very small. I hope by Feb to get a second 75g as the person I'm buying from has several. I just want to do right by the fish. Whatever doesn't get apistos is getting the blue/green guppies I think. The reds have exploded in the 40b. That will free up 1 to 2 tanks for me to first get a female to drop all her fry or try to pick out a virgin female and grow her up a bit and then mix with one of the 5 blue guys I bought at the pet shop. I have 2 males in mind that have excellent color and finnage.

Future plans involve getting more small heaters and separating the other male badis into their own tanks if I don't sell them except for the female. And I need to find a place for some bivittatum for now because there are getting to be several in my bivittatum tank with the parents. I also have 2 more varieties of Endlers coming from 2 different forum members. Those are going in my bedroom in the Edge and the 5.5g tank. I need something pretty to look at when I'm laying in bed. So then the qt tank will be freed up as I found a dead farlowella and I can't find the last one. I really bombed on that project. No more farlowella without growing algae specifically for them in a jar in the window or something. Anyway no more of them for the time being.

At the very end of February is a killifish convention in South Bend, IN which is only 2 hrs away and my aunt lives there. I plan to go. In March my killifish club will have a convention that I will volunteer with. I'm pretty excited for both events. There is also an auction on the 23rd and a swap the 31st of this month which should help me with tank money because I will resist the urge to buy new fish! I do need some pleco caves but no new fishies for Brenna!!

Oh yes and the RO unit, I'm buying that this week too. Not sure if it needs new filters or cartridges yet. I'm going to try experiments with the waste water. Any suggestions on shrimp I should try out? I prefer shrimp on the cheaper side but with a color besides brown or white. Have to start cheap to see how this will work out.
