I recently got a black brittle star. It seems happy, eating and cruising the tank at night. However, I'm not sure that my caves are big enough for it, it can't fit more than half of itself in the cave at one time. Sometimes it doesn't even get it's central disk all the way covered. My question is, do I need to arrange some rocks to make a bigger cave so it can get more coverage?

He'll be fine. If he really wanted to hide, he'd go behind the rocks. Be happy you can see more of him. One can only usually see one or a few legs - if that much.
