brown algae

So my tanks been set up for little over 4 months and i just started to get brown algae. Lighting is good as i read in a few fourms. What popped up the most is new tank. Could this of happend becuase i did a silent cycle? Thank you for the help

Brown algae or diatoms almost always appear in a newly set up tank. 4 months is still considered new. They are cause by silicates in your water. As your tank matures,, they will go completely away. You can wipe them off until then if they bug you, but they do no harm.

As long as it goes away and does not hurt my fish. I can deal with the way it looks most people the come over looks at it wont have a clue what it is so i wil just tell them its part of the decor
