How do I get rid of brown algae in an African Cichlid tank?

it binds the silicates and organic matter, etc.

I have used both and didn't notice specifically a difference.
And this helps too I love it.

You can read about them and see if any will suit your needs. I understand that over time they will die off if it is Diatoms. These seem to help it disappear more quickly.
Also check your lighting and make sure it is not on too much for awhile might help it disappear more quickly.
Online prices are pretty good and most box stores will price match certain online prices and that can really save you money.
