Bubble Nest-Questions

I have a little betta nameed Flame for obvious reasons and receantly he has been blowing bubble nests.
Why is he doing this is it because he is ready to mate or he is just blowing it for the **** of it?

Bubble nest in betta is mating behavior. They do that to attract the females to lay eggs for the nest ....

A betta that is making bubble nest is healthy & happy. They will do that even in the absence of females.
