Building a pond???

So I live in northwest indiana it gets freezing here. I already made the conclusion I'd have to have at least a 6ft deep pond. but to make 3000 gallons how big would it have to be???

I plugged some numbers into a pond calculator and if you go with an irregular shape something like 7'wide×10'long×6'deep would put you at 3100 gallons. Here us the calculator I used http://www.apifishcare.com/help-calculator.php
