My tank is about 6 months old. I no longer have green algae or hair algae problems. That might be due to my turbo snail crew though. My lighting was given to me so I have no way of knowing how old my MH lights are. Obviously older than 6 months.
I'm feeding a flake or two of food once a week so I can't be overfeeding. I don't have anything to test phosphates but I use RO/DI water. My nitrates are undetectable. I vaguely remember reading something once about old lights changing spectrum and causing cyano growth. Is this a possibility?
