Please help me if you are able to sex this Jack Dempsey?

I'm going to say female, because of all the blue on its face. Females are more colorful than males IMO. This is my female

JD's are hard to sex, if you want to be certain just vent it.

I'm going to go with male. The spangles on its face seem to end half way down. Females have the entire face covered in spangles like the other one pictured does.

See what I am saying? There's very few signs to go off with the sex of a JD. I'd vent it to be sure, a fish that big should be easy to vent.

Very pretty fish! Maybe if you can get a good pic of its vent area, you can get opinions on the vent sexing part. Would take two people to do that though. Lol
