If the heater is fully submersible you may be able to lay it down across the back ?
If not, raise it right away till the water line is at correct place.

It is fully submersible. I really don't want to see the chord running inside the tank, so I'm just going to raise it up. Still haven't had time.

Nice fish. I have always liked the angels. The one I have now was in bad shape when I got him, but I think he is all good now. my white skirt tetra however has pop eye. Pretty funky.
