I’ve pulled 3 clear gelatinous balls from my tank of the past few days. I’ve hd the rank up and running for 3 months now. Any ideas?

Is it smushy? It's not silicone is it? Can't tell texture thru a pic, lol
It’s squishy, they’ll squash under pressure. I’ve found 1 a day sitting on the bottom on the tank for the past couple days. Don’t think they would have been there aince setting up in November

My local used to use these in their betta tanks. Could these have crept in at set up?
Thats what they look like to me, but i wasn't sure how long they take to dissolve.

OP. Is there any chance someone else might be putting something in the tank to "help" out?

Could they be those gel beads used for flower arrangements? They are impossible to see when in water. Possibly some got in there a while back and they degrade over a period and are only now becoming visible?

I found some too! They were in a cluster of java ferns. Naturally occurring because I wouldn't have added anything to the tank resembling them.

I'm going to guess it's the end result from that fuzzy piece of food you swore you'd clean up tomorrow. I should have smelled it...
