clown loach laying on his side

Today I noticed my clown loach sitting on the floor in his little cave (as he does all the time) and then I watched him turn and lay on his side. Every time the other loach went into the cave he got up and chased him out, but then he would go back and lay down again. He hasn't been gasping for air and the ammonia & nitrites are 0. I've read they like to play dead sometimes...has anyone else seen this?

This is normal. Be careful netting them as they have switch blades under their eyes.

Ok thanks, and I had no idea about their eye barb lol I just googled it! Weird.
