While they are young it would probably work but a decent size frontosa will make a snack of a little German ram. Gotta remember fronts get over a foot and are predators.

I would look into peaceful schooling fish like some type of tetra or rasbora.

Fronts get too big, the gbrs would become snacks. Also fronts have no business being in a 55, they get too big.

I would start out with 5-7 fish and let them pair off on their own.
