That's kinda funny. They've most likely been there most of your life, and although not doing any harm or otherwise letting their presence be known, are now on the extermination list because suddenly it's realized that they exist.

Same concept applys to termites and no one thinks twice to get rid of them. I just don't want anything there that could have the potential of harming my health.
