common goldfish's head is turning black

when i bought him about 2 months ago he had a small black patch on his gill (right) now he has it all over his head just in the past few days. should i be worried. if you look on this picture he has no black it was taken a week ago but now that left side of his head is black aswell as on top of his head and underneath

This is his original spot you can see the black is just starting on top of his head

and here is what he currently looks like the flash of the camera hides it a bit it is more pronounced in day light.

Goldfish can change color pretty much though out their lives. If it looks/acts healthy and no outward signs of distress, that could be the answer.

My silver (slight calico) Fancy Fantail is now a Panda Fantail and just starting to show some yellow coloring.
