I have a 50 gallon planted tank housing Pleco, mollies, platies, tetra, gourmais, guppies, snail, & shrimp. The mollies and some platies have developed little white spots on their tails. Parameters are normal. I've been cleaning gravel every 5-7 days with a 40% pwc.

Any advice on treating them?

How often can one use prime?
Do you agree that tetra fungus guard will work and not kill anything I have in my tank?

If its Ich you don't necessarily have to use meds. Turn the heat up to 86F, frequent water changes with a good vacuuming, leave the temp up for at a week after you see the last spot. You'll want to add some extra aeration as the higher temp can lower O2 levels. Can you post a pic of the fish with spots?

Oh prime can be used as often as you need to use it but I would only use it when doing a water change.
