confusing coral

im torn between some sort of strange zoo, or a mushroom of sorts..

any ideas?

nope dont think so...

the tank i am getting some of these from has had them for a bit

they got the rock with @20+ on there and fraged a lot out to local members but had some die off, and only have 4-5 left...

But they want to give me one, I just havent seen anything like them they are a good 1-2 inches across

these come in many colors, and it looks pretty close to the picture you have, just a different color

I'm gonna have to agree they look like some type of anemone. The double row of tentacles just scream it.

I would agree with Hara, looks like a species of Epicystis sp., impossible to be exact though.

3 resident experts agree the locals have to be wrong...

the rock they originally came on they where so crowded together... and from what I have learned is that through the store they were bought from (that said they were a mushroom) they just fraged them like you would some zoa's I guess they are pretty hardy...
