My pair of convicts had another brood. They do the parent thing for about a month and then eat everything and she lays more eggs. Nothing has survived. This is the 5th batch and I was wondering if I can keep some of the fry in a 1.5 gallon plastic tote? Do I need a filter and does the water need to be warmer than air temp(75)?

I would go with a little larger tote and use a small heater and a sponge filter would be great for aeration/filtration with no danger to the fry. I would shoot for at least 5 gallons to help keep things stable. Depending on your homes temperature stability you may could get by without a heater.
