Ok, Help.

I have a golfball coral, Which has only today got a thick white stuff growing over it. Kinda like its turning into a sponge. Should i take it out?

What should i do?

Ok, So i just took it out and the stuff on top fell off and stuck so bad. So im guessing it was dieing?

I'll throw the coral out, Sadly. :(

Don't throw it out. Rinse it out in PWC water to get the "fungus" off of it. Dip it in a FW coral dip like coral clean or the like.

In between the mushrooms, The coral with a bit of green on it and it covered by white. You cant see it because its covered in the white stuff.

That looks like either a hammer or frogspawn could be an elegance too.

Kurt, that may be what it is... a sponge. How would you suggest gettting rid of it?

Sounds like the original poster has already dealt with it, but...

I'd just remove as much of it using tweezers/knife/etc as I could. Process will have to be repeated multiple times. I had an aggressive one in my Tubipora a while back and hacked away at it every couple weeks. It eventually got small enough that it withered away and hasn't come back.

Thanks, that's good information to know for future ref.
