Coral ID

Hi everyone.
I picked up this coral from the LFS for $8 because they didn't know what it was. And neither do I! Lol. It's obviously a LPS, and in pretty bad shape. All of the polyps in the back are dead. Anybody have any idea? It hasn't opened yet but it may soon.

Looks like meteor shower cyphastrea. If it makes a comeback that's definitely a nice pickup for $8.

I thought so at first also, but they have a blue encrusting base and this one is orange.

You're definitely right on the cyphastrea though. Possibly it's an orange cyphastrea.
