Cory in trouble! Please help!

Just today my gf noticed that one of my julii cories has some 'white' stuff on his face that appears to be shiny and the cory isn't moving around very much. It doesn't look like ich but I've never dealt with ich before. Have you ever had this happen? Ill try and have her send me some photos to post.
It is almost like a film and isnt chunky or anything. Please help me fix him

Yup. It doesn't look like a fungus bc she said it looked smooth and shiny.

I'm wondering if it's a scab to try and heal up from losing it's barbel?

It could be but it's on the same side as his only existing barbel.
