I'm looking for a cory for my 55g tank (It's an unoffical stock list. It may include a peaceful schooling tetra, harlequin rasboras, dward gouramis, zebra danios, swordtail or platy, maybe cherry barbs and guppies. I haven't narrowed it down yet) It would have to be something hardy enough to stand up to any beginner's mistakes but small enough that I can keep a good sized shoal of them. Any suggestions? Oh and can anyone see problems with any of the fish I've picked out?

Even though I'm getting a 55g tank, I would like a small 5-6g tank for my room. I had a friend tell me I could put a small shoal of pygmy corys or guppies in it, but I'm not sure if that is correct or not.

I wouldn't do guppies because they will breed and lead to problems but you could do something like 5 neons and 3 pygmy cory cats but not more than that.
