Crushed glass?

My friend has his fish tank layered with crush glass and said its the best for his fishes ,I never heard if using glass albeit i never even heard that it good for them,my question is,is he right?

As long as its not sharp it should be fine. Not my first choice for substrate tho. Pea sized Gravel honestly works best because its cheap, easy to find/clean, and harbors benificial Nitrifying bacteria easily than anything else does.

Personally I wouldn't use it but so long as it isn't sharp then no harm no foul.

Definitely interesting, thats for sure. Doing green glass could look pretty cool too, wonder what kind of glass it is.
