A pleco breeder told me copper is toxic to plecos and will likely kill them. I am curious though as cupramine is some sort of advanced compound. Has anyone ever used this to cure a protozoa infection on a pleco?
I have a pricey L201 with some sort of skin protozoa that's proving to be very stubborn to rid of. Am hesitant to use formalin and copper but thinking I may have to use something a bit harsher. Cannot say exactly what my pleco has as I don't have a microscope. Did not respond to antibiotics that treat columnaris, which tells me it's a parasite. Fungus would have been destroyed by now if it were that as I have used meth blue and pimafix for a week.
