Hi! I'm Juan from Argentina and I was wondering if anyone could help me with some basics for building an aquarium. Mostly with the glass type and thickness to use.

I need to build a 40*40in aquarium (1*1m), with roughly 4in to 5in of water depth (no more than 15cm). This aquarium will be used for behavioural experiments in wich the fish is filmed from the bottom of the aquarium, so the stand to be used has no top (the fish tank is supported at the perimeter).

I was wondering how thick should the bottom glass be to safely support the filled aquarium, and if annealed or tempered glass is recommended. I've seen some calculator online, but i'm not sure how they deal with the stand type.

Thanks in advance!
