Thanks! Grout would've been the cheaper way to do it and to be honest, probably just as effective. I used JB waterweld and added sand to the top coat to give it the look and texture. JB waterweld is super light, strong and fish safe. It's really expensive though.

Thanks! Here is the most recent. The rock shelf is near completion. All left is the left side where the heater will be.

Super cool! Great progress photos. What kind of fish are you building this for? What are you planning on using to attach it to the tank?
Ive been thinking about trying something similar. My plecos and corys would have a field day in little hut like that.

Thanks! I'm building this for 2 pictus catfish, 2 mollies and 2 otocinclus. I plan on having live plants and moss around some of the structures. I might just have it stand up against the wall or use some sort of suction cups.

Pretty much finished. Just need to seal off some of the edges then I'm going to set it in a tub of water for a few weeks before putting it in the tank.

Very cool, be sure to post some photos of it in the tank when you get that far. I'm excited to see how the finished product looks!

Thanks, I'm excited a well. This took a very long time to build because of work and travel, but I'm on the home stretch. I will definitely post pics when it's in the tank.

Thanks! I'm happy with it. Little bit of a rough transition for the fish but they seem to be good with it.
