cycle question

I have a dead turbo snail would that suffice to start my cycle? If so how long should I leave it in? Also I question about feather dusters can they appear in a tank or do u need to buy them from you lfs? Ty much

snail will start the cycle. leave it in for the entire cycle. feathers come in on live rock and corals

I agree. Leave the snail in to jumpstart the cycle. Buying LR will introduce mini dusters into your tank. I deleted your two bump threads. Bumping is not allowed according to our site rules.

oh i apologize i was not awear of that ty ill leave him in there then. when I first set up my tank afew days ago I had cured live rock put in and the next day it looked like it had some really bad die off but i looked at it today and it looks like its starting to grow back...is that possible in this short amount of time? ty again for all the advice
