It's about 2 weeks and I have nitrites appearing but the ammo isn't dropping should I do a water change or just keep being patient ( which is killing me by the way)
Fish-in or fishless? If it's fish-in you'll want to do a water change to keep the ammonia levels down as they are toxic to fish. If it's fishless.....how high did you dose ammonia initially? What's the PH in the tank? What test kit are you using?
Thanks, just checking It can take a couple of weeks for ammonia to drop; has it dropped at all or is it still the same? Your PH looks good. Nitrites appearing is a good sign. You could wait it out a bit more; if things haven't changed in another 5 days or so you can try a 50%+ water change.
