What is this. How do I do it to my tank. It is 5.5 gallons with my betta and mystery snail. I do weekly 25% water changes that I was told I need to do.

Cycling is a 2-4 week process that builds up the good bacteria in your fish tank. Once this is done then bad things in the water such as ammonia and nitrite should stay at 0 unless you over feed. Ammonia and nitrite is harmful to fish. I would recommend cycling without fish but you do have a very hardy fish in their and it's already in their so it should be fine. Certain fish in the cycling process can die but your betta should be fine while it cycles. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Appreciate the help.
