Diatoms i think?

So is all that brown gunk diatoms? I seem to be able to get rid of them when i do a water change with pure ro di water if i add some treated tap it comes back in a couple days and worsens with time

Diatoms become a problem when your water isn't moving enough. Maybe that's the problem?

Yea that could work, I've also noticed that a little aquarium salt will help keep diatoms away. Try different things and see is what I always go for.

Diatoms occur most when direct sunlight is involved. Is the tank anywhere near sunlight? Diatom blooms don't tend to happen or last very long in established tanks. If you're not in sunlight, I'd cut back on feeding next.

I feed once a day and it isnt much i feed nls lil pellets and its not in sunlight, and ive had it set up a good 6 months or so

How long are your lights on? Are you dosing daily with glut/excel/metricide/co2 booster?

I have them on 3 hours off 3 then on 3 again i dose pps pro and 24 mml of metricide
